Research in the Department of Paediatrics
Striving for excellence in fundamental, translational and clinical research is a core mission of the Department of Paediatrics. Under the leadership and direction of Dr. Annie Huang, Associate Chair of Research, our Vision is to make disruptive/innovative science an integral part of training and clinical care for children across all paediatric disciplines at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids)/Temerty Medicine. Our Mission is to leverage our unique strengths to develop new science/collaborations, and train, recruit and retain scholars with skills for transformative, impactful paediatric care.
Research Advisory Council (RAC)
Research activities in the SickKids' Department of Paediatrics are led by the Associate Chair of Paediatrics (Research) and the Research Advisory Council (RAC). Research by Departmental members is performed within one of 12 disciplinary and interdisciplinary research programs within the Research Institute at The Hospital for Sick Children.
