Verification of Training
Requests for Verification of Training
Physicians who trained in paediatrics and/or subspecialties within the Department of Paediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children may request verification of training from the Postgraduate Medical Education Office. These training verifications are for postgraduate medical education only. Undergraduate studies will not be verified by the Postgraduate Medical Education Office.
Training can be verified for physicians who trained in the Department of Paediatrics divisions listed below:
Core Paediatric Residency
NOTE: Verification of training for all other programs within the Department of Paediatrics should be sent to the division directly. Please refer to the table below.
Evaluations will not be printed from POWER as part of the training verification. If the trainee wants evaluations printed, they are able to log into POWER to obtain evaluations themselves.
Process

Please email the verification of training form and signed release of information to paeds.postgradmeded@sickkids.ca. The department will first confirm the trainee was in fact with the Department of Paediatrics, University of Toronto and will then determine the verification needed and costs associated with the requests.

You will receive a confirmation email and invoice within 2 business days along with instructions on how to submit payment and a copy of the receipt.

Once payment receipt is received, the verification of training will be completed and returned to you within 10 business days.

Timelines for Verification of Training
Training verifications will not be processed until payment has been received and consent to release information has been signed by the trainee and received by the Postgraduate Medical Education, Department of Paediatrics.
Upon receipt of payment and release of information, training verifications will then be finalized within 10 business days of receiving payment and consent.
In the event we are unable to complete the verification of training, a full refund will be issued.
